When you’re not wearing your CRE-E10 rechargeable hearing aid—like when you take it out before bed—you should set it in the charger. Once placed in the charger, the power will turn off, and the hearing aid will begin charging.

You will need an Apple® iPhone® device (iOS™ 13 or higher) or an Android™ smartphone (Android OS 10 or higher) with the Sony Hearing Control app installed to perform hearing aid fitting and volume adjustment.
Note: The Sony Hearing Control app version 1.1 is now available and adds support for:

  • iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone SE 1st generation, iPhone SE 2nd generation
  • iPhone or Android smartphones with a large display setting. If you still have an issue after updating the app to the latest version, you may be able to adjust the display settings to a smaller size to complete the setup.

No, the Sony OTC hearing aids aren’t waterproof, so you should take them out before you shower or swim.

Your OTC hearing aids are preinstalled with size S (small) click sleeves. If these aren’t comfortable, you can switch to one of the other three sizes provided (XS, M, L). Choose a smaller size if the hearing aid is pressing on your ear or a larger size if the hearing aid feels loose or makes a whistling noise.

Also, your left and right ear may be slightly different sizes, so feel free to use different size sleeves in each ear. Check the User Guide or watch these instructional videos to learn how to insert, fit, and remove your hearing aids.

The battery life on the CRE-C10 is 70* hours or about 5-7 days of normal usage. When you’re not wearing your OTC hearing aids, we recommend leaving the battery door open to conserve battery life. You may want to keep a few spare batteries handy just in case you have to change them on the go.

*Actual performance varies based on settings, environmental conditions, and usage.

The battery life of rechargeable CRE-E10 OTC hearing aids is up to 26* hours with normal usage after a 4-hour charge. If you need more time, you can charge the hearing aids on the go. A fully charged case provides three complete charging cycles for the hearing aids.3

Note: A 30 minute charge will provide up to 6 hours with normal usage.
